The water facilities operator for Frisco West WCIDDC, Inframark, is preparing to install AMR smart meters across the district begining Monday, June 29.

AMR stands for Automatic Meter Reading and is a technology that allows utility companies to remotely read meters without the need for manual visits to each property. These meters transmit usage data directly to the utility company, eliminating the potential for human error and reducing costs.

Along with increased meter read accuracy, smart meters allow residents to track their water usage in real time using an online EyeOnWater account.
